How to install Google Chrome on Windows

Google Chrome is a safe and secure browser to use for your every day needs. It takes advantage of plugins and extensions like most common browsers. It also allow you to sync to you Google account so you can share bookmarks and features between different machines, tablets, and phones.

We are going to give you 2 methods for downloading and installing google chrome on your windows machine. This guide should be compatible with Windows 7, 8, and 10. Chrome dropped support for Windows XP in April, 2016.

Method 1: Ninite auto installation

  1. Simply download the google chrome auto installer from ninite.
  2. It should download a file labeled similar to “Ninite Chrome Installer.exe”.
  3. After it finishes downloading run the application.
  4. If you get a prompt asking to run the application click yes.
  5. Ninite will then install google chrome and you should find a shortcut on your desktop or start menu.

Method 2: Install directly from google

  1. Visit Chrome Homepage
  2. Select Download Chrome
  3. Click Accept and Install on the Terms of Service
  4. It should download a file labeled similar to “ChromeSetup.exe”.
  5. After it finishes downloading run the application.
  6. If you get a prompt asking to run the application click yes.
  7. Google Chrome will then be installed and you should find a shortcut on your desktop or start menu.
